Spotlight on Founders

Each week, we highlight two of our founding directors.

Kimberly Law, AICI CIP, President AICI

Kimberly Law, author, speaker, and professional image consultant, has more than 25 years of experience in the area of personal appearance enhancement, corporate image branding and professional marketing.

In 1999 Kimberly helped found Personal Impact Image Management in Vancouver, Canada, and has since helped women, men and corporations across Canada and the US, redefine their image to succeed in today's ever competitive, image-conscious environment.

At Personal Impact Image Management, Kimberly's team provides personal image expertise on a wide range of subjects from wardrobe planning & dressing based on body type, make-up lessons and colour analysis to corporate image consulting which includes topics on professionalism such as formal to business casual dress, business etiquette and dining etiquette workshops. Major clients include Safeway, BMO Nesbitt Burns, Canada Revenue Agency, Aeroplan Canada, University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business, Simon Fraser University MBA Program, RBC Bank, CIBC Imperial Service, Blanche MacDonald Institute and YMCA.

Over the years, Kimberly has been invited to publish articles in national publications, and featured in major media across Canada such as Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, CTV, Global TV, CityTV, Metro Newspaper, Globe and Mail Newspaper, The National Post Newspaper, Ming Pao Newspaper, CKNW Radio, and Chatelaine.

In 2003, Kimberly was the first in Western Canada to receive international recognition as a 'Certified Image Professional' through the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI). On March 16, 2010, she was nominated by a panel of her peers at AICI for the position of President-Elect for the 2010-2011 year, and President of AICI from July 2011 onward for a two-year term.

Riet de Vlieger, AICI CIP

Riet is a Senior Image Consultant in The Netherlands. After a career as speech therapist she started her image consultancy business, Dress4Success in 1999. She worked with thousands of people, personal and corporate. Riet is one of the founding directors of Image Masters, an image training institute and corporate training company. Lately Riet ventured into marketing, public persona, image and personal branding. She supports people in reaching their goals by working on their image.

Riet is a member of the International Board of Directors of the Association of Image Consultants International(AICI), serving as VP Chapter Relations 2011-2013. She is also president of the founding board of a new to be created AICI Chapter in The Netherlands. She is founding partner of ImagoBasics, a loyalty concept for Image services in The Netherlands.
